The JGS Difference

A learning experience that stands out.

At JGS Kokapet, and at our new Mokila campus, we understand that every parent desires the best for their children. Hence, we’ve ensured that our students are given the best facilities that take care of their health, safety and other non-academic aspects. All of them influence our student’s learning outcomes positively and contribute to their overall well-being during their academic years at JGS and beyond.

Small Cohort, Big Attention – 24 per Class

An Excellent Student–Teacher Ratio

A common worry for parents is whether a teacher can give each child enough attention in a busy classroom. At JGS, we cap every class at a maximum of 24 students, so teachers can get to know each learner, follow their progress closely, and support them where they need it most. Backed by 3 campuses, 500+ educators, 7,000+ current learners and 20,000+ alumni, this commitment to small class sizes is how we make sure no child gets lost in the crowd.

Technology

Advancing in every way

If we’re not moving forward, we’re not learning anything new. We apply this formula to our lifestyle every day. We equipped all the classrooms with Digital boards that will make learning immersive and interactive. All the classrooms have access to WiFi, and students are provided with Chromebooks to take learning to the next level. (All under a teacher’s supervision)

Engaging

Facilities that improve the experience of learning

We are all into creative education. In order to develop students in all aspects of life, we have created spaces that boost their curiosity to learn and grow. A well-maintained library to get students to enjoy the benefits of reading, play areas and activity rooms to keep their creative minds engaged.

Learning beyond

Learning beyond the classroom

Extracurricular activities are a great way for students to apply their learnings in the real world. Termly, we conduct various activities such as Dance, Yoga, Art, Coding and Computing for all classes (subject to change as per requirement). In addition, every class has two PE classes a week.

Support

Education is for everyone

All our facilitators are trained to deal with additional learning needs. If you want to know more, please connect with our School Counsellor.

Legacy

Delivering quality education
for 47 years

In our 47 years in education, we have changed almost every aspect of our approach. From how we teach to how we test, we have made sure that we adapt quickly and accurately to the modern world. And this is what makes us stand out from the rest.

Global Standards

One of the greatest strengths of education is that it knows no boundaries. Learning can happen anywhere, from anyone, and at any stage of life. As India evolved and the world became increasingly interconnected, it became essential to provide future generations with an education that met global standards while remaining rooted in strong values. We began this journey with the ICSE curriculum and later expanded to include the ISC and IB Diploma Programme (IBDP), offering students internationally benchmarked learning opportunities. Continuing this vision, we established Johnson Grammar School, Kokapet, which offers the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (IB PYP). Our new Mokila campus is planned to offer the IB and ICSE curricula.

Zero Tolerance Policy

JGS has a Zero Tolerance Policy for any sort of corporal punishment and child abuse. Every staff member gives a written undertaking to follow this policy before their recruitment. Any violations are strictly dealt with.

POCSO Policy

We follow a written child protection policy under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012.

Background-Verified Staff

Our staff are background-verified before they join JGS.

CCTV Surveillance

Our campus is under 24x7 CCTV surveillance, with security guards on duty round the clock.

GPS-Tracked Transport

Our school buses are GPS-tracked.

Water Quality & Safety

We conduct frequent tests of the water used for drinking and other purposes on our school campus. This ensures the health and safety of our students.

First Aid Trained Staff

All of our staff members undergo mandatory First Aid training to handle immediate emergencies and minor injuries.
